My Journey to Celebrancy

My Journey to Celebrancy

After nearly thirty years of teaching English to business professionals from around the world, I was ready for a new adventure. That’s when I discovered celebrancy. It felt like the perfect fit and a natural extension of my work as a teacher. Teaching has given me a deep love of communication, storytelling, and connecting with people—skills I bring to every ceremony I create.

Living abroad has deepened my appreciation for marking life’s milestone moments and the power of gathering people together to celebrate them. That sense of connection is at the heart of what I do.

I create intimate ceremonies that reflect who you are, with just the right mix of heartfelt moments and gentle humour.

If your favourite moments in life involve making memories with family and friends, having fun and laughing together, we’ll get along famously.

The Power of a Great Story

Whether I’m binge-watching a truly worthy series or hearing how a couple first met, I´ve always loved the magic of a well-told tale.

    Pure Joy

Singing in my local choir and spending time with family and friends are the highlights of my week.

    Mindful Movement

I’m no exercise fiend, but I do love the endorphine buzz of a swim, a long walk, or a bit of yoga. These help me stay calm and present—just how I like to be when guiding a ceremony.

I would love to hear your unique story and create a beautiful, meaningful, and heartfelt ceremony that you will remember for years to come.

My Journey From Teaching to Celebrancy

My Journey From Teaching to Celebrancy

I'm still teaching part-time (and still love it), but celebrancy has given me the chance to do something that lights me up in a different way. It's about creating meaningful moments, connecting authentically with people, and celebrating what makes each couple unique.

What do teaching and celebrancy have in common? More than you might think. In both, you're building rapport, creating a safe space for people to share, and working with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and stories. Teaching has taught me to listen deeply, empathise naturally, and bring warmth and a sense of humour to everything I do. Those are exactly the qualities that matter most when you're standing in front of two people on one of the biggest days of their lives.

Why Intimate Ceremonies Where I Truly Shine

Why Intimate Ceremonies Where I Truly Shine

As I've reflected on what kind of celebrant I want to be, I've realised that intimate ceremonies are where my heart is. There's something incredibly special about smaller gatherings—whether it's just the two of you or your closest circle of loved ones. Every word lands differently. Every emotion is felt more deeply. Every moment matters.

I thrive in these settings because I can truly connect with you and your guests, creating a ceremony that feels personal, present, and full of meaning. If you're planning an elopement, a micro wedding, or an intimate vow renewal, you're exactly the kind of couple I love working with.

For International Couples I Understand Your Journey

Living in Barcelona for 25 years has given me a deep appreciation for what it means to build a life between cultures. If you're an international couple who have made Barcelona or Catalonia your home, I understand the unique blend of identities, languages, and traditions you're navigating.

And if you're planning a destination wedding from abroad, I know how to create a ceremony that feels rooted in this beautiful place while honouring where you've come from. I specialise in helping international and destination couples create ceremonies that feel authentic to them—no matter how many languages, cultures, or countries are woven into your story.

    Connection First

I genuinely want to know your story—the funny bits, the unexpected turns, the moments that made you sure this was the person you wanted beside you. That connection is what makes a ceremony feel real.

    Empathy & Authenticity

I bring an open heart, good listening skills, and the ability to hold space for whatever emotions arise. Whether you're laughing, crying, or both, I'll be right there with you.

    A Sense of Humour

Life's too short for stuffy ceremonies. I believe laughter is as important as tears—it's all part of being human. If you want warmth, joy, and a bit of fun woven into your day, you're in good hands.

My Values What Guides My Work

My Values What Guides My Work

As a celebrant, I'm all about connection—getting to know you and your unique love story. I bring a big dose of empathy, a wide-open heart (and ears!), a dash of humour, and a belief that there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to "I do."

Whether you want a relaxed and humorous ceremony or a more serious and sentimental celebration, I'll support your choices every step of the way to create the ceremony you've always dreamed of.

A Personal Touch The Little Moments Matter

Recently, while visiting family in the UK, I was in a shoe shop (I’m a total shoe lover!) when an elderly man started chatting with me. He was 92 years old and told me he’d been married to his wife for 70 years. “She’s the best girl in the world,” he said, with such a sparkle in his eyes.

That moment stayed with me. It reminded me that a wedding ceremony isn’t just a celebration of the day itself—it marks the beginning of a new chapter of love and commitment that carries a couple through the years ahead.
